to hold me close at the picture show
That was when she really,
really loved me so
Then he came along like a stormy sea,
not too long ago
Now she don't love me any
more
She used to walk beneath,
beneath the tall old trees
She had me thinkin' how
happy we'd be
Then he came along
like the devil in disguise
Not too long ago
Now I've got tears in my eye
s
She said she'd always be my girl
She said her love would never die
She said she'd always be my girl
When she left with a hymn
Left my heart to cry
Now I'm so lonely, I'm broken and blue
I don't have no one
that I can talk to
Cause he came and took
her away from me
Not too long ago
Now she don't love me anymore
oh oh oh oh oh oh
oh oh oh oh
She said she'd always be my girl
She said her love would never die
She said she'd always be my girl
Then she left with a hymn,
left my heart to cry
Now I'm so lonely, I'm broken and blue
I don't have no one
that I can talk to
Cause he came and took
her away from me
Not too long ago
Now she don't love me anymore
Oh -oh -oh -oh -oh -oh -o

Thank you very much.
That was 1965,
so that was 45 years ago.
Wow. Was having fun back there,
wasn't it, boys?
I tell you what, when I was in high school,
I remember people like James Winkler,
Tommy Clark,
several others
would go to Taylor Highway.
I had a 56 -0s
At least my dad did.
And we had Maypop tires
on the thing.
I'd get up to 115, 120
and we'd just be bouncing
along.
We were having so much fun.
I'd always lose though because Winkler
had a 58 Bonneville Pontiac
with three deuces.
Completely blew us away.
1970! 1970!
Hang on! I beg your pardon.
Taken from our album,
The Golden Hits Thing,
a song I really like,
it's called you don't
miss your water
until your well runs completely dry.
