America spend
s millions of dollars each year to help other countries when
America itself is falling apart.
There are so many killings
going on in
America today, but everyone
seems to turn away from
it.
Clinton himself is not addressing the
problems within the neighborhoods.
The only crimes that you're seeing on
TV are those committed by the gangs,
by the blacks,
by the
Hispanics, and that's it.
But there are so many other
problems in
America.
What happens when an innocent 16 -year -old
knocks on the wrong door by mistake an d is
gunned down with a .44
Magnum and the killer is set free?
Is this
America I'm living in?
I really don't know.
I think
America has lost it and we
are truly falling apart.
We need tighter gun control and
we need better places to stay.
The finger always seems to be pointed at
the man that can't get a job, the ones
that's on the street,
and the people that are lost in this system.
You see,
America
shows you this shiny pole made of
stainless steel and they call this the
ladder of success.
But what
America is not telling you
is that once you reach
the top.
It's so greased down,
it's very hard to hold on.
And I often find myself
slipping back in to reality and facing
the same problems that I had to face as
a youngster.
Sure, we've all made mistakes.
And when you become a failure to
America,
America has a system that does
away with people.
They call it prison. I call it
Every time I wake up and realize exactly what's going on,
I get so paired up with
America
till I don't know what to do.
I've come to the point that
when I see the
American flag,
I get so sick until I wish
I was from another country.
I'm not proud of
America, mainly because
America isn't proud of itself.
If you don't have an education,
you will find it very hard to accomplish anything in life.
It's very good to stay in school
and get an education.
But what about the people that
can't afford an education?
America spends so much money on foreign
affairs and never spends anything on
America itself.
We are truly falling apart,
and I'd like for
President
Clinton and all our other leaders
to take time and realize that there's people like me
stuck in the ghetto where I didn't
have an opportunity to do anything
better than what I did in life.
I don't want my kids to grow up selling drugs,
killing, robbing, or any of this stuff, but
This is the direction that
America has my little boy,
your little boy, your girl,
and everyone part of it too.
You see,
America lets the drugs in,
put the drugs in the black
community,
and let us sell drugs.
And once we sold the drugs,
America locks us up for
long periods of time.
And while we are there incarcerated,
there are no programs to
rehabilitate you.
And then
America sets you back on the street
after going 14 years and expect for
you to be able to survive.
Is this truly what
America is all about?
I don't really understand.
Sometimes I find myself
living in a fantasy world,
trying to make
America better than what it really is.
Sure, I'm an
American, but I must first be a black
Afro -American
so I can identify with myself
an d realize the things that
America has planned for me.
an d then I could gain and
use my strategy on
America itself.
So
Clinton, an d to all our so -called
black leaders of the world,
let's get together and
get this thing right.
Not only for the blacks, but for
America.
Thank you for
you
