Jeff has a unique talent
in that he usually keeps us
in stitches on the bus
and sometimes we need a good laugh
and Jeff is always there to provide
it.
Jeff has a visual impairment
which to anyone here would
consider quite a nuisance
and very hard to live with.
He has what we call peripheral vision
where he can see out of the
corners of his eyes
but has difficulty when he looks
straight at someone to see them
and sometimes he can't always determine
which is the correct restroom to enter.
And we always know he's made the wrong choice
because we'll hear a clamor
from that area.
And we rushed to his rescue.
Well, one evening he came to the bus
and he had this very sad look on his face.
And I said, well, you know,
I just assumed
that he had made the wrong choice
and someone had just really let him have it.
And I said, Jeff, what's wrong?
And he said, well, I got it right this time,
but it's not near as much fun.
But the best thing that I like about Jeff Lyne
is his commitment to his Lord and Savior
Jesus Christ.
As I shared with you, he does have
a visual impairment,

but that has in no way kept him from satisfying
his thirst for the Word of God
because he studies it in any

way he can at all times.
Em
Many of us find different
things to do

when we're riding on that bus for hours at a time,

but almost without fail
you can walk by where Jeff is sitting

and there will be tapes of
and religious music,
there'll be tapes of the Bible,

there will be an open Bible
and Jeff will be studying.
And many times when he wants

to memorize scripture
and when he wants to learn something
D
that's really important from God's Word,
he will record it on a cassette.
And then in the evening
when he gets ready to go to bed,
he puts that cassette underneath
and he just turns it on

and just goes to sleep on the Word of God.

And after a few months,
he will have memorized

what it is he wants to memorize.

And you know, I can just imagine some day when,
by the grace of God,

Jeff will be standing in front of our Lord.

And possibly he could have said to him,

you put me there with several handicaps.
